Design-Make residency at the Woodland Enterprise Centre, Flimwell_2016

Continuing exploratory investigations in the woodlands of WEC Flimwell, in the autumn of 2016, studio 06 undertook to design and fabricate a series of temporary connections into parts of the landscape, using only materials available from the woodland. Led by forestry expert and WEC’s founder director David Saunders, we were invited to engage with the techniques and tools of sustainable forestry practice to inform the process of design and fabrication (figs 1-6).
